A FITTING TRIBUTE TO TRADITION.
At its core, the Trainmaster Standard Time represents classic watchmaking. Vintage design, easy readability and certified precision combine with lightweight wearability and modern luminosity. It is inspired by the adoption of Standard Time in 1883 and the criteria of accuracy instituted by Webb C. Ball that same year. Ever the trendsetter, Ball became the first jeweler to use time signals from the United States Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C., to bring accurate time to the residents of Cleveland, Ohio. In his shop window, the city’s first chronometer allowed city residents to precisely set their watches, which spawned the enduring expressions “Ball’s Time” and “on the Ball”.
