My partner and I wanted to get a ring resized from size 10 to 7, we had previously had taken the ring to another place which told us that they would not be able to do what we wanted since the main stone of the ring was garnet which wouldnt be able to take heat well and could lose its shine. We were on the verge of giving up when we took the ring to Arax.Not only were they able to reduce the size of the ring but they were able to get the ring back to us within a week and maintained its original shine.We really couldnt have been happier. Fantastic service! I’m a fairly newer watch collector. Every time I’ve gone into stores, I’ve felt pressure or not treated ideally. I walked into Arax Jewellery not looking to purchase anything but simply have a strap swapped out due to my lack of experience and not wanting to make a mistake. Not only was the customer service fast and well done but I was treated very kindly. The simple replacement of my Omega Speedmaster Strap was done for free, when other people quoted me eye gushing prices for such a simple task. This spoke volumes to me. I definitely will be returning here for all of mine and families watch and Jewelry services, and this one a the type of store that I want to bring my business too.

Interestingly rude staff to say the least. People that get quickly agitated in customer service probably shouldn't work in customer service. Second store I called was able to quickly and kindly answer my questions. These guys do not deserve any of your business. After reading some of the other low star reviews it looks like they're padding their reviews by offering discounts to people who leave 5 star. Makes sense. Couldn't beleive my ears when I spoke to the CS rep. Very very disappointing.

I was headed to one of the larger and more commonly known jewellery shops as I normally would do and I'm considering purchasing a gift. However, I was passing by this store and decided to go in to see what they offer. I had suspected that going to the larger and more commonly known stores I was not necessarily getting the best value or unique pieces. My decision to go to Arax prove to be correct as I received great service, a fair price, a reasonable and respectful and attentive approach to what I was looking for. The store is beautiful,their pieces are beautiful, they care about what they are doing, they know what they are doing and they want you to be happy and satisfied.I would highly recommend anybody considering any kind of jewellery purchase to come in and take a look and see what old-fashioned care and superb craftsmanship look like. Arax is a classic example of a what a family owned and operated jewelry boutique should strive to be. These gentlemen (brothers) provided me with the type of service that I only remember my mother receiving back in the 80's with her Jeweler. Although we had only met the moment I walked into their boutique, I only needed a couple words. They knew exactly what I needed and my expectations. My piece was a personal slip on bracelet handed to me from my father that was too small to fit. They custom me a hidden clasp allowing the components to flow uninterrupted. To say the least I also ordered another custom diamond pendant that they are putting together for a gift for my wife. Beautiful work and timeless experience! Thanks boys!

Had a gold chain passed on by my grandmother that seemed to have blackened in some places.. tried polishing at home but couldn't get it to shine. Dropped in and spoke to this lovely gentleman (whose name I didn't think to ask)..he took 20 mins to have the chain polished and cleaned and handed back to me. Really great service - would definitely recommend.

There's a good reason why this family-owned store is still in business after 50 years!As I started shopping for an engagement ring, I must have visited 6 different jewellery places (ranging from big name stores to jewelery dealers), and not one of them was able to match what Sevag was offering in terms of quality of diamonds or the price.Sevag is a Certified Gemologist, so you're not dealing with a salesperson; you're dealing with someone who has a lot of knowledge and true passion for his craft. He takes pride in his work and it shows. On top of that, Sevag provides outstanding customer service to everyone who walks in the store.I walked out with a gorgeous engagement ring that was within my budget and that my fiancée absolutely loved.

We travelled down toToronto from the Bruce Peninsula yesterday to have an engagement ring’s value confirmed. Sev asked NOT to see the official GIA report before he did his own evaluation. I was very impressed by my experience with Arax. I had two handfuls of jewelry I thought might have value and within a few minutes they helped me sort out which pieces were valuable and why/why not. I asked to have one piece cleaned and appraised with a write up, which should be done by this coming Friday (4 business days). Given how little I know about this kind of thing and the time crunch I'm under to figure it out, I was really grateful for their knowledgeable and friendly service!

It is almost our first anniversary - a COVID wedding amidst marriage licensing difficulties, closed jewellery stores, and limitations to number of guests. As a second wedding in our lives, Mike and I were not going to wait until life reopened - we needed to be married in 2020. Seve from Arax Jewellery designed our perfect wedding ring incorporating our seven children birthstones into a beautiful rose gold band. Wonderful service and really kind gentleman. I went in to remove quite a few links for a watch for my mother. I went into the store because I was looking to replace a chain and they happened to be in the plaza I was shopping in. I actually had stopped at a different jeweller but there was no parking, so I landed up at the York Mills plaza. Sevag was very personable, professional, and not only had the perfect chain I was looking for, but offered to custom make the charm to match the chain. The price was exceptionally reasonable, and he had the custom piece made, wrapped, and a hand written note of thanks, within 3 hours. I've kept a pair of my favorite earrings in their original box (from 10+ years ago) until I could bring them in and have my missing backing replaced. Very rude encounter with the owner. I was trying to sell a diamond ring last month and Arax is the only place that I got very unprofessional response from. Like many others You could have said you are not interested instead of saying the diamond is worthless and I'm lucky if I can get anything for it. Unless you want to low ball me there is no need to say something like that.

The search to acquire my first Ball watch ended when I reached out to Sevag from Arax in Ontario as Manitoba does not have an Authorized Ball watch Dealer.Arax Being an Authorized Ball watch Dealer I e-mailed Sevag to see if he could get me the Ball Hydrocarbon Submarine Warfare.Within a couple of days and a couple of conversations on the phone the deal was closed.The watch was ordered on the 23rd of October and I received it on my doorstep on November 1 st.Sevag made the whole transaction from the first e-mail to the package delivered to my door worry and hasel free. For me it was a big purchase but I had trust in Sevag and he delivered.Thnk you.

These guys were great particularly Sevag . Brought my ancient Medical Alert Silver (gift) bracelet in as had lost due to link falling off/breaking. They do free repairs to Medical Alert bracelets which saved me $40 compared to mall Jeweler store. I opted to have phone # engraved on it since was not there already and price/time was very reasonable and came back polished which was a nice touch. When it comes to Jewelry it all about trust and they have earned mine.

So happy with the tremendous care I have received! After my father's death, I had his ring enlarged to fit me. There were some challenges getting it done, but the staff at Arax Jewellery were persistent and got it to work- which was greatly appreciated as this ring has such sentimental value to me. I first went to Arax Jewellery many years ago at the Don Mills Shopping Centre. I bought several pieces of jewellery there than, and I was SO impressed with the way I was treated. What I call the Old Fashion way because I cannot remember the last time I was treated this way in any store, for many many years. Sincere kind words of wisdom, honesty and highly professional. I was sad to see the mall demolished and with that the disappearing of my favourite jewelry store Arax. Now, many years later, they are back in my neighbourhood at 808 York Mills Road at York Mills Gardens. I am so pleased to see them back here. I brought in several rings that had to be enlarged as well as a pearl earring that was part of a set, necklace, ring, earrings, that I had bought many many years ago at Arax. Something was broken of the earring and the pearl had fallen out, probably from wearing them so often. In the end Eddie did not charge me for fixing a post that was broken on that earring, glueing the pearl back in PLUS taking out all the other pearls and glueing them back to make sure I would not loose any pearls. Imagine, MANY MANY years later Eddie still gives me quality Customer Service! The rings look beautiful, like brand new and I am SO happy to be able to wear them again.I recommend Arax Jewelry to ANYONE looking for that SPECIAL gift for that SPECIAL someone.You shall NOT be disappointed in the quality of Craftsmanship nor in the amazing friendly Customer Service.Be well Eddie, all the best to you and your family.I’ll be back.Tonny Clarke.

I had reached out by email on a Tuesday to see how much it would cost to repair a chain. I showed up the following Saturday without calling first and the gentleman was in the middle of something. The most incredible jeweller out there. I had a silver ring that was splitting in two, with two very loose jewels that were no longer connected as the bar holding them together broke and the ring was overall very dirty. Sevag was extremely professional, he explained the process of cleaning and fixing my ring, he fixed it in a timely fashion and when I got it back it looked brand new. I went into Arax initially back in January to ask about resetting my diamond into a halo setting. Sevag was professional and answered all my questions. I returned to the store a few months later when I was ready to reset the ring. I showed Sevag a photo of what I wanted, they came up with a rendering then an actual model. We discussed the size of the diamonds to be used and cost etc. Once I approved it, the ring was made in a couple of weeks along with an appraisal report. The ring was exactly what I asked for and it is beautiful. After I saw the my ring, I decided to get a custom made anniversary band made as well. That turned out beautifully too. The store is really lovely inside and the service warm and professional.

Great service, clean/ professional environment, and fast/ high quality work. After calling a handful of shops, I came into Arax Jewellers to get a ring resized. The price was fair, and the work was done with in a day! They also gave me a rough appraisal and polish on 3 other pieces for no charge. My ring was expertly done. Can't tell it had been upsides at all. It was shining so bright after they cleaned it up. I was truelly impressed.(In response to the man with the negative review commenting on how many of the reviews may be fake due to first time reviews. The gentleman I delt with did mention "if you are happy with our work please leave us a positive review on Google". To which my response was "I was already planning on leaving 5 stars!" It makes sense how someone would want to review for the first time after such an enjoyable experience. Just my two cents.)

When we originally met Eddie to discuss adding diamonds to my platinum engagement and wedding band Eddie provided us with precise details of what he was going to do and gave us a very good idea of how it was going to look like after it was finished and when we finally saw the finished product it was more beautiful than we could have imagined!The story doesn’t end there...after a few months later I had damaged my engagement ring so severely that the shape of it was no longer round and was very upset so we took it back to Eddie to see if he could fix it and after a week he restored it to its’ original state and again we could not believe the skill and expertise this man possesses.Also just to let you know this is the first review we have ever written for anyone but we felt compelled to write it because we were so pleased with the amazing personal service and custom craftsmanship we received from Eddie. The family members at Arax Jewellers have been looking after the repair and cleaning of various pieces of my jewelry as well as the creation of beautiful new pieces of jewelry for me for several years.
