For Lucy, with love
A charity organization that supports cancer research and patient support.
Arax Jewellery’s co-founder and matriarch Lucy, is our inspiration, our hero, who fought to survive but lost her life to pancreatic cancer on March 1, 2021.
Lucy was a remarkable woman who was kind and generous. She dedicated her life to her family, which she held most dear, and her community, for which she volunteered tirelessly.
For Lucy, with love is a charity organization founded on November 18, 2021 – World Pancreatic Cancer Day – by Arax, Lucy’s eldest daughter, to celebrate her legacy and continue her humanitarian efforts. Our mission is to raise funds through the sales of Lucy’s Willow to support cancer research and patient support. We are doing this for Lucy, with love.
This unique, custom-created collection, proudly supported by Arax Jewellery, is called Lucy’s Willow and it is available for sale. Lucy never lost hope. Her will to live never wavered. For Lucy, with love started as a way to pay tribute to her. In her memory, we can all work together to fund cancer research and patient support.
The Willow Tree
Willow trees are deeply symbolic. They give us hope and offer a sense of belonging and safety. They remind us to let go of pain and make way for growth. They are strong and adaptable.
Did you know that a willow branch can be planted in the ground and from it, a new tree will grow in its place? Their roots have a remarkable tenacity to live.
In their image, we see a path from sadness and loss to hope, stability, healing, and renewal.
Lucy loved willow trees. She imagined the branches of a willow tree to be a protective and loving canopy, like her arms around her children, grandchildren, and family.
Lucy’s Willow is a tree of life — the roots and the branches connect to symbolize the circle of life.
